Sort of. It's that Hermes guy who was supposed to help us. We disagreed on the instructions… I think that guy really can't follow orders.
Dammit… I guess we should have expected it from the team who improvizes all the time.
Talk about collaboration… An hour in, I turned to check on him and he just… Left without a warning. Assâm and Chris didn't see him leave either.
Really wishing I was here to talk to him, but I guess it's too late… Whatever, just keep on walking, if he's as good at his job as the Hermes guys told us he was, he'll probably come up to his sense and find y'all back.
My thought as well. I still hope he doesn't fuck up on his end. The faster we find these Clumps, the better.

As expected, Thanatos was slow.
Unlike them, Charlie was used to the treacherous caverns of Level 8, straddling and weaving in the small gaps and tight corridors with ease.
Notes
- first presentation of Charlie on TS, so presenting his character through the events he goes through. Not about character growth, but presentation in action context. (his flaws and how they influence the overall story too)
- Putting Clumps (obviously) -> CotV captured the AC members to try to make advances clumps out of them by manipulating liminal magic or something like this ig
- when does he met back with rest of the team tho? the point is still the operation isn't it?
- The AC wouldn't have warpberries at this point in time (start of 2016). How would they leave so far into the complex?
- Or maybe Charlie had like the blanche book that was supposed to help them and he separated from the rest of the team bc he disapproved the plan? Hermes is known to improvize after all, maybe he even stole the book from the rest of the team
- They have organiguns tho (meeting leading to aprobation of their use set in 2012)
Summary
- Phone call between operative leader of Thanatos and a higher up of Thanatos
- Charlie left the team and took [insert object that helps noclipping in group ig] after an argument about the plan (Thanatos stick to the plan/organization, not Charlie)
- Charlie wandering around in lower part of L8, still poorly mapped/explored. Doesn't pick up the call of Thanatos, feels bad about it but he knows he has to trust his instinct and go alone (to be less easily seen)
- Finds the entrance to COTV base. Reminds him of the buildings of L11 by its recent looking nature which he doesn't like. Issue is entering without being seen. He'd see two cotv members coming back with a wide bag, and one of them putting something half-out and then in (something big ig) with Charlie deduce it's a worn sack, and do a diversion to enter it. After the diversion the two cotv guys feel suspicious and concerned someone might try to ambush them (the people who would have caused the sound) and retreat quickly with the bag into the base
- Go into the older parts of the place (It'd be in the older parts because that's where their connexion with liminality or whatever is better, so that's where they do cult stuff since forever). Would he need a cotv outfit too? (but then would the clumps still be agressive? They're probably agressive no matter the outfit, depends on if they use magic or something to control them ig). Do I make him interact with a COTV guy to get some info (and maybe that outfit?). Would show that he's extroverted and good at talking.
- Fight with a Clump, tough one but Charlie survives, and the thrill of the combat was something he was looking for, he feels alive and doesn't regret leaving the team. Tho after the combat ends he feels concerned that he might not be able to withstand more clumps; he doubts about his choices, he's not that self-confident and he's starting to wonder if doing what other Hermes people do (improvizing/following instinct) was really a good idea for something still rather new (the ironical paradox between the pleasure of the thrill making him feel alive and the thought he might fucking stuff up makes him laugh of anxiety)
- Keeps walking in the older catacombs part thing, finds a room with occult stuff on the floor (in the specific leylines or whatever required to do the ritual thing), and two Hermes members tied up on hospital beds, as well as a MEG member too.
- clumps attack and suddently the rest of team thanatos finds him? tho idk how so huuh that feels cheap rn
