Staff Purview

While authors possess all rights over their articles, staff also have some regarding some of the pages on-site, for maintenance purposes. They are as follows:

Custody

  • Staff has custody over the main hub pages (levels, entities, tales… and so on) that they can edit or overhaul as much as they want after discussion.
  • Staff also have custody over deleted page concepts, so as to allow members to rewrite deleted pages. This doesn’t apply to articles that are on the disallowed rewrite list.
  • Staff have custody over pages made by members that are permanently banned without a chance of appealing (as they aren’t able to come back in the community) unless they transfer the page ownership to a current member of the wiki.
  • Staff has custody over all (non-joke) guide pages, as they often need to be updated or even deleted to meet the new site directions and standards. This includes pages that are on the site or deleted.

Purview

  • Staff can edit pages for standardization purposes. This includes, but isn’t contained to: Article titles, standardized words (such as no capital letters on level, entity…), tags, image uploads or licenseboxes.
  • Staff can also edit minor hubs made by members or other international wikis, such as canon hubs or translation hubs, by removing or adding links depending on the page availability, as well as everything discussed previously in the purview section.
  • Staff has the right to move pages accross categories, for example to suit changes in definition.
  • Staff has purview over all themes and components uploaded on the wiki. This means staff can freely edit a theme or a component for accessibility purposes (such as fixing color issues for readability). Said pages can also be updated by staff in order to work on a newer site version (such as how themes were updated to work with the Hallprint theme).
  • Staff purview archived pages, either by removing them if needed or by releasing them on the wiki once more on specific occasions.
  • Staff has the right to remove all images in sandboxes that are too big and taking too much site space (>800MB).

Other

  • Staff can adjust the deletion threshold as needed, such as raising or lowering it.

While staff has all those rights regarding wiki pages, they are purely here for maintenance reasons. If you think staff is abusing those rights in whatever way, feel free to discuss it in the forums or on the discord, in the community feedback forum.
