I was reading some of the published articles of archivist A. River and realized some of them were signed "Aelita River" while others were signed as "Asher River". Is one of them their middle name or something? Or is there two River archivists?

Hello! Didn't want to respond to this one first because of my lack of knowledge about M.E.G. collaborators, but this one is important to explain.
I reached to Overseer B for some insight, and here's the response they gave me:
So you know how Asher has noclipped from the Frontrooms right? And you know ze are AFAB (Assigned Female At Birth just in case). Well hir Frontrooms legal name was Aelita River, a feminine name given by hir parents. Ze hasn't always thought about hir gender, but while being in Station 01.3 (one of the founding settlements of the M.E.G.), they started questioning hirself about who ze was. Although ze used hir legal name on M.E.G. papers for a while, ze "officially" changed name some months after the coalition was formed. Some of hir coworker kept misgendering hir and using hir deadname on some articles tho, which can explain the confusion. Most were understanding and used either hir neopronouns or they/them.
I hope it helps bring some light on who ze was. I do dislike seeing hir deadname being used just as much as they did back when ze was with us.

Oh… I see. Yikes, it's a bummer to see ze had to endure homophobic people even down there. Any idea what hir pronouns are in hir… "new state"?
